Naqeebullah extra judicial killing case: SC receives another letter from absconding police officer Rao Anwar

ISLAMABAD, : Supreme Court (SC) while ordering IG Sindh to give briefing on Karachi, Islamabad CCTV footage of Rao Anwar has summoned Director General (DG) airports on next hearing.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has remarked “ another letter of Rao Anwar has been received. I don’t know it is real or fake letter. But I have got it included in the record.

He observed “ Rao Anwar says his bank accounts be defreezed. Report is coming but there is no progress with reference to arrest of Rao Anwar.
CJP gave these remarks while presiding over a 3-member bench of SC during the course of hearing of Naqeebullah Mehsud extra judicial killing suo motu notice on Wednesday.

Deputy Attorney Sohail Mehmood said according to security agencies, all suspected persons have switched off their mobiles. According to ISI technical assistance is being provided to Sindh police. MI has said that they have limited resources of technical assistance but they are extending cooperation to police.
CJP inquired from IG Sindh are MI and ISI assisting him.
IG Sindh told the court both these security agencies are assisting. Challan of the case has been filed. First FIR has been cancelled.
Lawyer Faisal Siddiqui told there are 24 accused in Naqeeb Ullah extra judicial killing case. Only 10 among them have been arrested so far. Questions are being raised on the authority of the state.
CJP remarked “ this is a vital question.
IG Sindh told 12 accused have been arrested so far.
The court while ordering IG Sindh to give briefing on CCTV footage of Rao Anwar pertaining to Karachi and Islamabad adjourned the hearing of the case till Friday.
The court remarked next hearing will take place in Karachi.
