Islamabad, : Federal Minister for privatization Daniyal Aziz has alleged that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) did not act upon its own formulated laws regarding new delimitation of the constituencies.
He stated this while talking to media persons after the meeting of working group of NA Special committee.
However, he made it clear that forthcoming general election shouldn’t be delayed due the delimitation of the constituencies. “Delimitation of constituencies can’t make a cause of delaying next general elections” he added.
Answering a question, minister said that ECP has overlooked the basic rules and regulations in the delimitation process of KP and Punjab.
Earlier in meeting Additional Secretary Zafar Iqbal made it clear that they can’t answer of objections raised by the committee.
