Chishti forms group of professional journalists for National Press Club slots

Abdul Razzaq Chishti has decided to participate in the forthcoming election of National Press Club with objectives to improve conditions of journalism and journalists by promoting and protecting the principles of freedom of speech and of the press and the public right’s to know.

While talking to TLTP on Wednesday, Chishti expressed that he has formed a group of professional journalists to contest the election in order to protect social and economic rights of working journalists.

Chishti is a renowned senior journalist as he performed duties as editor of a number of Urdu Dailies, published from Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Multan and Peshawar simultaneously. He is a law graduate from prestigious institution International Islamic University Islamabad.

Chishti maintained that it is the best time to improve the conditions of journalism and journalists by promoting and protecting the principles of freedom of speech and of the press and the public right’s to know.

He was of the view that leadership of the National Press Club should organize seminars for the press and media all over the country and honor the journalist and media organization with awards and certificates for outstanding contribution to the society and achieved the best in this field.
