PESCO gets new chief

Engineer Muhammad Jabbar Khan has taken over charge as Chief Executive of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO).

Soon after taking charge of the office, Jabbar Khan has started discharging his official responsibilities from Thursday expressing commitment to utilize all energies for betterment of the PESCO amid removing public grievances on priority basis.

Khan, an Engineer by profession with over 33 years of experience in the power sector in the capacity of SDO, Xen and SE on national level while serving in different parts of the country with WAPDA. He belongs to respectable educated family of Gilgat Baltistan and  graduated from University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar in 1985-86 in addition to securing  MBA degree with specialization in human resource. Keeping in view his transparent career, outstanding performance, academic achievements and professional zeal, he has been posted as Chief Executive PESCO and he has started discharging his official responsibilities.

Engineer Muhammad Jabbar Khan on the assumption of the office has shown his determination to work with full dedication and in the best interest of Company for which he asked for the cooperation of the company’s employees and the public simultaneously .

He has issued directives to the PESCO officers and officials to work for the betterment of the company and make all out efforts to reduce the line losses and enhance its recovery so that the company could be put on the track of success and prosperity.

He also directed PESCO employees to facilitate the valuable consumers of the PESCO at their doorsteps,with the specific reference to the current holy month of Ramadan. Engineer Muhammad Jabbar Khan has been given the slot after retirement of Engineer Dr.Muhammad Amjad Khan from the office.
