While addressing the webinar to celebrate 100th anniversary of Communist Party of China (CPC) Consul General of China in Karachi Li Bijian expressed the Party’s original aspiration and the mission is to seek happiness for the Chinese people and realizing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Karachi Editors Club (KEC) has organized the webinar on the occasions of the 100th anniversary of the CPC.
Li shared valuable experience from 100 years of the CPC saying firstly, adhere to adapting Marxism to the Chinese context; secondly, adhere to the people-centered philosophy of development; thirdly, adhere to strengthening the party’s own organizational development; forthly, adhere to reform and innovation, fifthly, adhere to consolidating and developing the patriotic united front; and sixthly, adhere to the strategy of peaceful development.
Guest speaker Ms. Yang Fanxin Director of International Cooperation Department, National Academy of Development and Strategy (NADS) Renmin University of China cited speech of President Xi on this occasion and valued point of view of the President Xi that the state is the people and the people are the state.
She said China has been transformed from a highly centralized planned economic system to vibrant socialist market economic system, the reasonable economic policies help China become the world’s second largest economy and the world’s second largest consumer market.
Fanxin said China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic partners; such world-renowned achievements are inseparable from the support and help of the people and government of Pakistan.
On the occasion, Sirajuddin Aziz, a renowned author, poet and CEO: Group Financial Institutions at Habib Bank AG Zurich, the guest of honour from Pakistan congratulated to the people of China and the Chinese government and Chinese envoys in Pakistan on the centenary celebrations of the CPC.
Sirajuddin Aziz mentioned that the CPEC is the first showcase of that initiative of creating that economic bond to the relationship that we enjoy between the two countries. He said this is only the beginning of my personal view that we have so much to learn from China, their experience of having developed special economic zones that have been extremely well.
Earlier, Mubasher Mir President KEC, in his welcome address, congratulated the CPC leadership on completion of 100 years. He disclosed that KEC celebrates CPC anniversary every year since 2018, and this year it is celebrating it through this webinar amidCOVID-19 following the necessary SOPs.
Secretary General of the KEC Manzar Naqvi expressed gratitude over support of Nong Rong Ambassador of China in Pakistan and Li Bijian Consul General at Karachi. Naqvi also congratulated the entire Chinese nation throughout the world on centenary celebrations of the CPC.
Brig (Retd) Tariq Khalil, Mukhtar Ahmed Butt, Agha Masood Hussain and Prof Ayesha Alam, Head of the Department of Hazara University, KPK congratulated the whole CPC leadership and appreciated the amazing and energetic leadership of President XI Jinping and expressed the hope that China would soon emerge as the top most economy of the world under the sincere leadership of Xi Jinping.
They also appreciated the amazing ‘Belt & Road’ programme initiated by of President Xi in 2013 for the regional development and connectivity and CPEC for the amazing development of Pakistan. They declared that Pak-China Friendship is long lasting and is based on trust and mutual benefits. Fizzah Shakil moderated the whole webinar.
