ISLAMABAD: Advocate Talib Hussain Jaffary has been appointed as the Central Legal Adviser of the National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony and Human Rights Pakistan (NPCIHHR).
A notification, dated August 1, 2026, states that the appointment has been made in recognition of Mr Jaffary’s legal expertise and commitment to promoting interfaith harmony, human rights and constitutional values in Pakistan. The appointment takes immediate effect.
According to the notification, Mr Jaffary will provide legal guidance to the organisation, assist in matters relating to constitutional and human rights issues, and support the committee in advancing its objectives through legal and policy advocacy.
The organisation said the role carries the responsibility of ensuring that its activities and initiatives are conducted in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan and applicable laws while contributing to efforts aimed at strengthening interfaith harmony and protecting human rights.
The National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony and Human Rights Pakistan is a civil society organisation that says it works to promote religious harmony, human rights awareness and peaceful coexistence across the country.
