Former CDA Chief handed over to NAB for seven days physical remand

Islamabad, : While accepting the NAB request an accountability court on Tuesday handed over the former Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, and member Finance committee to NAB custody for seven day physical remand.
The NAB Rawalpindi earlier arrested former Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad Imtiaz Inayat Elahi over embezzlement charges.
Muhammad Bashir the judge of accountability court head the embezzlement charges case of former Chairman CDA and member Finance committee. Both the accused appeared before the court.
During the proceeding NAB prosecutor stated that accused paid huge finical damage of Rs. 471.498 million to national exchequer while misusing the powers.
He added that accused had also given approval of stopping the constriction work of Islamabad Culture Complex. Later the NAB also sought the physical remand of the accused.
While accepting the NAB request an accountability court handed over both accused to NAB custody for seven day physical remand. It was worth mentioned here that both officers were arrested over wrongdoings in construction of a cultural complex in Islamabad.
