Islamabad : Parliamentary leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Ilyas Bilour has said that horse trading has been committed at large scale in recently held Senate elections.
Talking to Online on Friday, he said that leading political parties including PPP, ruling PML-N and PTI are allegedly involve in this business.
He said that political parties should award the tickets for the seat of upper house of the parliament to its activists instead of capitalists and financially stable persons. The qualified and well educated persons should become the members of Senate.
“PTI has awarded Senate tickets in KP to those who have not been the members of party. Ayub Afradi was awarded the Senate ticket because he paid Rs 250 million to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak without informing Imran Khan”, he added and maintained that Rapid Bus Service was launched only to embezzle Rs 30 billion.
He said that Swat Motorway is a laudable project of PTI which should be completed at every cost.
Talking about JUI-F’s Chief Maualan Fazal-ur-Rehman, Ilyas Bilour said that he fears that his politics would be ended if FATA was merged in KP because his politics revolves around the religious clerics and do not favor the change in the current status of FATA.
He said that we are alleged of anti-Pakistan element when talked about provincial autonomy. In 1947, the Muslims of subcontinent were divided into two parts and then in 1971 in the form of Bangladesh adding that now former PM Nawaz Sharif talks about the Grater Punjab. This country is already blood bathed. The political leaders should talk about to unite the country and not the division of it.
Responding to a question about the statements of Nawaz Sharif regarding judiciary, he said that when the Panama case was filed I advised Nawaz Sharif to resolve this issue in the parliament as it is supreme, but he did not accept it. He himself has approached the court and then court has decided the matter, he should accept the court’s verdict not criticize on judiciary.
Talking about the repatriation of Afghan refugees, he said that they must repatriate. The way of peace comes in Pakistan through Afghanistan adding that main reason of prevailing tension in Pak-Afghanistan ties is our rulers and establishment.
Afshraf Ghani first visited Pakistan when he became President. During his visit, he met with our government, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other Pashton leaders. Our government did not give him importance and he approached the India.
Talking about the foreign policy, he said that it is not functioning towards proper directions that are why we are facing many hardships on external borders.
Responding about the ANP of changing its affiliations from pro-Russia to pro-America, he said that we were progressive nationalist and are adding that we are not pro-America and only talk about our rights.
Talking about the terrorism in KP, he said that our province is terror hit area, rendered tremendous sacrifices and launched operation against terrorism first time in the country adding that Swat operation was launched in our tenure and succeeded. Despite adverse condition of law and order, our government had launched and completed number of development projects.
Talking about the Chairman Senate, he said that if PPP had fielded its own candidate, our party will support it.
He said that ANP would get landslide victory in upcoming general polls and would its government in KP adding that party leadership would decide about the alliance of ANP with other parties.
