Islamabad, The Punjab government has placed a ban on the celebrations of several traditional and historical “Malas” across Punjab including Hazrat Sakhi Sarwar.
On Saturday country different organizations held a protest demonization against Punjab government negative decision in-front of National Press Club (NPC).
Organizations of different student associations, Civil Society & Saraiki community were participated in the protest demonstration.
Most of the protesters have viewed that Punjab government was doing unlawful act and added that currently number of devotees have barred to participate in annual Urs of Hazrat Sakhi Sarwar. The celebration of Hazrat Sakhi Sarwar was held every year during March and April at Dara Ghazi Khan. They demanded that government should review it decision and immediately lift ban.
