Islamabad, : The newly elected independent Senator from Balochistan Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani was leading the way among the top runners for the slot of Chairman Senate. The credible sources have disclosed that after the long consultation of opposition parties PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari have agreed to bring his candidate for the slot of Deputy Chairman Senate.
Sources stated that several ups and downs were witnessed for finalizing the name of Senate Chairman for past few days. Some opposition parties have suggested the outgoing Chairman Main Raza Rabbani should again make the chairman of senate but Asif Ali Zardari has turned down the request. He insisted that Saleem Mandviwalla name should be finalized for Chairman Senate.
Sources further stated that in such circumstance pressure was building from the side of PTI and Independent elected senators from Baluchistan that Chairman Senate slot should be given to Baluchistan province. They suggested newly elected independent senator from Balochistan Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani was the suitable candidate for Chairman Senate.In this connection consolation was carried out through the day and night and at least Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani was accepted as the most suitable candidate for this top slot. Sources further stated the for the slot of deputy chairman senate PPP would present the one name among Saleem Mandviwalla, Sherry Rehman, Mustafa Khokar or Hidayatallha.
It was worth to mention here that Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was on the mission to get the slot of Chairman Senate and he also got support from PTI in this regard. PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari was already favor his.
