Accused involved in Cab driver murder arrested

Rawalpindi, The personnel of Rawalpindi Nasirabad Police Station has claimed arresting of three suspects that were allegedly involved in murder of drive of Careem Cab Service.

According to details, a taxi driver, employed with the ride-hailing service Careem, was shot dead in Rawalpindi on Tuesday. Sources stated that arrested accused included an Afghan resident.

Police also recovered deceased Sajawal Ammer’s cell phones and cash from the possession of arrested accused.

The alleged arrested accused will present before the concerned court for physical remand. Sources stated that police arrested an Afghan resident Parvaz along with his close friends Shahraz and Sajid. Police believed these persons were allegedly involved in this horrific crime.

It was worth mentioned here that victim Sajawal Ameer had booked his last ride with two passengers at 10pm on Monday, after which his bullet-riddled body was found on Tuesday morning.

Ameer’s car was later found at Chohar Chowk, which is at a little distance from Lakho from where the body was recovered. This is the second such case in a month in the twin cities. A 26-year-old captain Mustafa was killed in Islamabad in a similar case.
