A Ph.D degree holder sought the prime minister‘s intervention for protection of fundamental right saying the people at the helm of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) have deprived him of regularization of service as Associate Professor (Mathematics) illegally.
Dr Saeed alleged that the FDE officials has misguided the competent authorities by reporting his performance as poor which he claimed is a question mark on his Ph.D degree. Dr. Saeed was appointed as an Associate Professor on one year contract with 12 Assistant Professors.
Two other Associate professors of different subjects though the same advertisement and shortlisting process as well as Selection Board of the ministry of education also joined one of the Islamabad model college in 2011.
He informed that during the one year contract period (2011-2012) he performed his best with more the 70 percent class (VI) result and he published 8 international research papers which is the best performance in the college.
Later on, as a result of the PPP led government regularization policy of February 16, 2012, Cabinet Sub Committee and Islamabad High Court took decision and regularized twelve assistant professors and one Associate Professor.
Dr. Saeed has already submitted his appeal on PM Citizen Portal more than seven times and now he prayed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan to intervene in the issue and direct the concerned authorities to send his file/case to the Federal Public Service Commission for regularization of his service as an Associate Professor with the FDE setup.
Talking to TLTP, Dr Saeed expressed that a bench of IHC comprising Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan and Cabinet Sub Committee recommended his case for regularization, under WP No.1002/2012.
“Following this recommendation, on June 18, Divisional Bench (DB) comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsan Akhtar Kyani issued directives to the concerned authorities to send his case with Dr. Idress Mufti to FPSC to check the eligibility/suitability for the regularization under the ICA No.425/2017 which is already clubbed with ICA 340/2017. It is pertinent to mention that no one is Ph.D degree holder who have been regularized among his colleagues.
