The International Muslim Women conference concluded here on Tuesday with the resolve to carry the “Paigham e Pakistan” (Message of Pakistan) to the four corners of the world, aimed at strengthening the family system and uniting the governments and the nations for wiping out sectarian violence, extremism and terrorism.
Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, while addressing the concluding session Tuesday evening, said that only educated woman could ensure the progress of the society and the nation. He said there was need to organize the women folk at the world level against the women exploitation.
Sirajul Haq said that the Islamic system alone could guarantee the women rights. He said that if the JI came to power, the women’s right to inheritance would be ensured, the customs of Wan and marriage with the Quran would be abolished and the female education would be made compulsory.
The JI chief said that the rulers were out to snatch the Hijab from the women only to please the western powers. He said that Satan had managed to drive out Adam and Eve from paradise after stripping them of their dress and now Satan’s disciples were bent upon pulling down the dress of the humanity.
He reiterated his demand that all those who failed to provide an affidavit of giving their female relatives their inherited property, should be debarred from contesting elections.
The JI chief said that the west had deprived the womenfolk of the love of father, brother, son and husband and instead burdened her with the responsibility to earn her living. On the other hand, he said, the respect and status which Islam gave to the women had no parallel.
The concluding day had three sessions. The first session was chaired by the delegate from Sudan, Dr Afaf Ahmed Muhammad Husain. The third session was chaired by Dr Samia Raheel Qazi from Pakistan. The second session was presided over by Dr Kausar Firdaus also from Pakistan at which the reports of all the regions were presented.
Delegates from Turkey, Lebanon, Sudan, Sri Lanka, France, Indonesia, Jordan and Uganda, attended the moot.
