Sikh Activist Pannun Invokes New York Court Jurisdiction Against Indian Govt, NSA Ajit Doval Over Assassination Attempt

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, general counsel of Sikhs for Justice, has filed a civil lawsuit in a US Federal District Court against the Indian government and top officials, alleging an assassination attempt on him. The suit seeks damages for assault and emotional distress, claiming the plot was orchestrated by Indian intelligence agents.

Seeking damages for alleged assassination attempt, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and the general counsel of pro-Khalistan Sikhs for Justice filed a civil lawsuit in a US federal district court against the Indian government and National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval.

The lawsuit is connected to a purported unsuccessful plot to kill Pannun, who serves as the general counsel for Sikhs for Justice in the United States. According to the filing, the conspiracy allegedly involves an Indian government employee and other individuals.

In a related development, the U.S. court has summoned India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and a former head of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in connection with the alleged assassination attempt on Pannun, a Khalistan separatist leader.

The case raises questions about diplomatic protocols and international boundaries, potentially highlighting India’s efforts to exert influence globally. As the legal proceedings unfold, they may have implications for international relations and security concerns.

The lawsuit and its allegations remain subject to legal scrutiny and verification through the court process.
