Imran Khan gets interim pre-arrest bail in hurling threats to Additional District Judge case

Islamabad High Court Sunday granted interim pre-arrest bail to former prime minister Imran Khan two days ago, the local court has issued arrest warrant of Khan over non-appearance in trial before the judicial magistrate under charges for ‘threats’ to police and a judge during public rally.

Two days ago, one of the judicial magistrates of Islamabad Rana Mujjahid Rahim has issued arrest warrant of Imran Khan Judicial Magistrate in a criminal case over alleged hurling threats to Additional District & Session Judge Ms. Zeba Chaudhry in a public rally.

It is pertinent to mention that during last week, Imran Khan appeared before the court of Additional District & Session Judge along with his counsel Babar Awan saying if the judge hurt over his any word, he is ready to tender apology.

Earlier in the day, the former prime minister filed bail before arrest in Islamabad High Court through his lawyer Dr Babar Awan.

Granting the pre-arrest bail in the matter until October 07 against surety bonds of Rs 10,000, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani of the IHC directed the accused person Imran Khan to appear before the concerned judicial magistrate  for further proceedings.
