Mushahid Ullah hints at legislation if judiciary crosses its limits

ISLAMABAD, The government expressing annoyance over removing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif from his post and limiting accountability only to politicians advised institutions to work within their limits.
Speaking on point of order, Federal Minister for Climate Change Mushahid Ullah Khan said that they are part of parliament and nucleolus of power is judiciary. He said hurdles were created from the day one in form of protests, lockdown and other measures.
The minister questioned that is Accountbality only for politicians, adding that Quaid-e- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Liquat Ali Khan and Fatima Jinnah faced accountabilities but not Governor General Ghulam Ishaq Khan. He said the decisions of judges are part of the history.
He said over 400 cases were pending in PIA, asking that is power of governance is only lying with Parliament. He said that an elected prime minister is sent home because he didn’t take salary from his son.
He was of the opinion that in past many amendments were made and procedures regarding appointment of judges were also revised. He said hundred of thousand cases are pending, asking judiciary to clear it.
He said there were 456 names in Panama while action was taken only against one person whose name even not in the list. He stated that how governance would be when even small courts are giving decisions about it.
The minister further said that people would have to work within their limits as if judges will do parliamentarians work, parliament will have to legislate about it.
Barjees Tahir speaking on the floor of house said that today (Saturday) is election of Senate and party with majority, the PML-N, was barred to contest the elections.
