ISLAMABAD, (TLTP): While urging the government to provide free internet facility to students all over the country who are taking online classes in wake of COVID-19, vice chairman Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Abid Saqi asked all the educational institutions to reimburse 70 percent fee to students if conducting online classes.
Talking to TLTP on Saturday, Abid Saqi expressed that keeping in view of alarming and day-to-day worsening situation on account of rapid spread of COVID-19, the concerns of students regarding online classes, intended to be started by different universities and educational institutions the PBC fully support demands of the students to declare semester break till May 31.
Saqi said if the prevailing pandemic spread prolong in the country then government should prioritize provision of free of cost internet connectivity to all the areas of Pakistan so that students may avail 3G/4G internet facility to attend online classes.
Abid Saqi demanded the educational institutions which are planning to conduct online classes to reduce a total of 70 percent fee and reimburse the same amount to students besides arranging training of teachers that how to conduct online classes in accordance with the global standards.
