ISLAMABAD: As part of on-going reforms aimed at strengthening service delivery and enhancing access to justice, Haroonur Rashid, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) of Pakistan, along with members of his Cabinet, Monday inaugurated the Advocates-on-Record (AOR) & Litigant Facilitation Center, established by the Supreme Court of Pakistan within the court premises.
Following the inauguration, the Advocates-on-Record (AORs) urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the SCBA leadership to review the decision regarding the facility’s current setup. They emphasized the need for a more robust infrastructure to ensure they can perform their professional duties smoothly and effectively meet the high standards required at the apex court.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, and Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court. The newly established Center has been designed to provide structured facilitation to Advocates-on-Record, enabling them to effectively guide and assist litigants in matters related to procedural requirements, case filing, documentation, and other ancillary issues.
The initiative is a citizen-focused, one-window, walk-in service designed on a people-first service delivery model, aimed at enhancing institutional responsiveness and improving the overall litigant experience at the apex Court. The Advocates-on-Record & Litigant Facilitation Center is expected to serve as an effective interface between litigants, counsel, and court administration, thereby contributing to a more responsive, transparent, and efficient justice sector.
