The Law Today Pakistan Editor Meets CJP Mian Saqib Nisar to Discuss Digital Expansion of Pakistan’s Premier Law News Wire Service

ISLAMABAD – In a significant development for Pakistan’s legal journalism landscape, the Editor of The Law Today Pakistan (TLTP), the country’s premier law news agency, met with  Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar to discuss the platform’s growing digital footprint and its role in promoting informed legal discourse nationwide.

During the interaction, the Editor Khudayar Mohla briefed Chief Justice Nisar on the agency’s mission to deliver accurate, timely, and research-based reporting on judicial proceedings, legislative developments, and legal reforms. The conversation centered around enhancing the TLTP website Law Today  as a reliable national legal resource, improving accessibility for practitioners, law students, academics, and policymakers.

The Editor shared the agency’s expansion plans, including multilingual legal content, archival judgments, digital law magazines, and dedicated sections on judicial history and constitutional cases. Chief Justice Nisar appreciated the initiative and emphasized that responsible legal journalism plays a crucial role in strengthening public trust in the justice system.

He noted that the judiciary, Parliament, and legal fraternity benefit greatly when news reporting on legal matters is factual, contextual, and free of sensationalism. He encouraged editor of the Law Today to continue setting professional standards that inspire other platforms to follow suit.

The discussion also touched upon opportunities for collaboration with bar associations, law universities, and young legal researchers to promote legal literacy. The Editor highlighted Law Today’s aim to serve as a bridge between the courtroom and the public by offering credible coverage of major cases and institutional reforms.

The Chief Justice Nisar expressed confidence that The Law Today Pakistan website, with its growing readership and influence, will contribute meaningfully to transparency and awareness in legal affairs.

The Editor reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to uphold journalistic integrity while expanding its digital presence to meet contemporary information needs.
