PTI independent contestant urged ECP to declare NA 164 result void

Seeking top election body’s intervention for remedy, Advocate Umer Sajjad Chaven, counsel for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) backed independent candidate Malik Ijaz Gaddan urged Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to declare NA- 164 results null and void for vote miscalculation in the constituency. Advocate Chaven of the HSU Advocates submitted saying  Gaddan has original forms 45 of 228 polling stations out of 234 polling station and according to these forms, petitioner secured highest votes 120736 while Mian Riaz Pirzada secured only 102537 and the petitioner was winning with lead of 18199 votes from PML-N candidate.  Mr. Umer Sajjad Chaven advocate for the petitioner stated that total voter strength of remaining 6 Polling Stations is 8796 even for the sake of arguments it is presumed that all the remaining 8796 votes were polled in favor of the Mian Riaz Pirzada, still he shall be bound to lose the election by a huge margin of 9403 votes.

Mr Chaven further submitted before the ECP that not only them but other parties’ candidates also have these forms, which also validates his success. The petitioner included copies of Form 45 a part of his petition in which he demanded that the victory notification of successful candidates may kindly be cancelled.
