LONDON: The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, United Kingdom, welcomed the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi, as an Honorary Bencher at its Benchers’ Night in London.

The occasion provided an opportunity to explore ways to strengthen institutional cooperation between the judicial and legal institutions of Pakistan and the United Kingdom through the exchange of knowledge, experience and professional expertise.

Discussions focused on judicial capacity-building, particularly in case management and judgment writing, as well as opportunities to strengthen professional standards in legal ethics and advocacy. These areas offer scope for closer engagement and mutual learning between the two jurisdictions.

Continued institutional cooperation can support the sharing of best practices, enhance judicial skills and promote legal professionalism.

The Chief Justice’s association with the Inner Temple as an Honorary Bencher provides a valuable link for advancing these exchanges and strengthening ties between the legal communities of Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
