LHC fixes case to hear plea seeking disqualification of Pervez Musharraf from heading party

LAHORE, Lahore High Court (LHC) has fixed for hearing petition seeking court orders for debarring Pervez Musharraf from heading his party.

A single bench of LHC presided over by Justice Shahid Karim will take up the petition for preliminary hearing today.

The petitioner has taken plea in the petition that a disqualified person can not head his party under political parties act. The court has disqualified Mian Nawaz Sharif from heading PML-N under this law.

The petitioner pleaded that Musharraf was disqualified under article 62 and 63 of the constitution from contesting election 2013.
