Islamabad, : Adviser to the Prime Minister (PM) on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Khan said that April running year new Islamabad International Airport (IIA) would be functional, new airport equipped with state of art modern, international standard facilities, during inspection of Airport on Monday.Sardar Mehtab directed the concerned officials to ensure the work standard and in time completion of airport project, and sought report on the working of new airport project.
Sardar Mehtab was briefed that the cost of project is rupees 85 billion, 9 million passengers would annually facilitated through this biggest Airport of Pakistan.
Multi-building car parking, 15 passenger boarding lounges, 2 runways, modern landing system and latest international standard radar system would be installed in this airport.
