Pakistan Convenes US, Central Asian Defence Chiefs for Landmark Security Talks

While hosting the Central and South Asia Chiefs of Defence Conference on Saturday, Islamabad fostered dialogue on regional security and defence collaboration in the presence of senior military officials from the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

This high-level multilateral dialogue, themed “Strengthening Bonds, Securing Peace”, marks a pivotal moment for advancing regional military diplomacy and defence cooperation.  Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir welcomed the international delegations and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to peace, regional stability and mutual trust, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“In an era defined by transnational threats and complex hybrid challenges, the imperative for deeper military-to-military cooperation, strategic dialogue and mutual trust is paramount. Pakistan remains fully committed to working with partner nations to build a secure and prosperous regional environment,” Field Marshal Munir was quoted as saying by the statement.
