Strengthening Rule of Law: FJA Trains FIA Assistant Directors (Legal) on Modern Prosecutorial Strategies and Evidence Handling

ISLAMABAD – The Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) today successfully concluded a comprehensive four-day Professional Development Course for Assistant Directors (Legal) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Batch-II. The specialized training, which ran from July 08 to July 11, 2025, at the FJA premises in Islamabad, represented a significant effort to elevate the professional standards of the nation’s key legal investigators.

The course was strategically designed to enhance the legal, procedural, and analytical competencies of the participating FIA officials. Throughout the four days, the curriculum provided intensive coverage of advanced topics, including sophisticated case management techniques crucial for handling complex investigations, the protocols for meticulous evidence handling to ensure admissibility in court, the application of specialized cybercrime legislation in an increasingly digital landscape, and the development of effective prosecutorial strategies for successful conviction.

Participants engaged in a dynamic learning environment featuring interactive sessions, detailed case study discussions, and practical exercises. This approach ensured they gained crucial insights into optimizing their role within the justice system, equipping them with the necessary tools to handle complex investigations and prosecutions more efficiently while aligning their efforts with judicial expectations for the fair and timely delivery of justice.

The successful organization of this course firmly reinforces the FJA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening inter-agency coordination between the judiciary and investigative bodies. This collaborative training initiative is a direct measure aimed at ensuring improved outcomes for the rule of law across Pakistan.
