Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi paid an inspection visit to Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday morning, where he monitored the passenger immigration process.

Awais Kiyani of the 24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday saying the Minister toured various counters and inquired about the travel history of passengers. He commended Director FIA Ali Zia and his team for ensuring the swift immigration of passengers.

Minister Naqvi also engaged with passengers traveling overseas and those returning home, seeking their direct feedback on the immigration process. The passengers expressed high satisfaction and praised the officials of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). One passenger reportedly informed the Minister that their immigration process was completed in just two minutes. Another passenger credited the improvement in the immigration process to the Minister’s frequent visits to the airports.

Speaking at the airport, the Minister affirmed that individuals possessing valid documents are not, and will not be, barred from traveling. “However, those passengers who are without complete documents and those who have bogus documents will not be allowed to board the plane,” he stated. He further stressed that passengers who “could bring a bad name to the country” would not be permitted to travel.
